On Tuesday 10 December we held our annual senior citizens Christmas party. The tables were decked with mince pies and our student council served guests with platters piled with sandwiches. There was entertainment showcasing the talent from some of our students through musical performance, tap dance, solo pieces and poetry. The children who attend our nursery also made an appearance and presented guests with calendars that they had created. Asda, Co-op, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and the Oadby Owl also generously gave donations so that we could do a raffle. One prize included a knitted Santa hat and beard that the winner took great delight in trying on. We would like to give a big thank you to these companies for their kindness. The event was concluded with our guests singing some of their favourite traditional carols led by our Head of Music on the piano.
