Before Christmas, the English Department entered a number of students into a short story competition entitled ‘A Twist in the Tale’. Students were asked to write a story of no longer than 100 words which had to involve a character, setting, plot and a surprise ending (the twist!). We are delighted to announce that 114 students had their work selected to be published in an anthology entitled ‘A Twist in the Tale: Stories from the East Midlands’, a copy of which will be sent to the British Library. This is a fantastic achievement and we are, once again impressed and inspired by our talented students. |
