Congratulations to all staff and students who took part in Friday’s Children in Need. Staff raised money through a house cupcake baking competition and sale while student governors put themselves forward for a leg waxing session. Raffle tickets were sold to give students the chance to tear off waxing strips. Neeraj Thakrar, Minesh Patel and Jeevan Kanth bravely volunteered their legs and even Mr Howe took the chance to take part, opting for the more painful back of the calf. Neeraj said of the event – “Having students and our very own Mr Howe smoothen out our furry legs was worth every penny for the Children in Need around the world and in the UK. Thank you everyone for the support and the pain caused!” The amount raised so far is £577.90. |
